One more notarial record, involving Engel Gras, dated 5 April 1754:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QHV-P3VC-Z9XR-Y?i=1025&cat=34628
As you may recall, Jan Gras was deceased according to his begraven impost in 1750 at Wormer. Engel (or whatever name) looks more like a brother to our Jan.
Once again, reconstructing this family is very difficult. Just when I thought we possibly had it figured out. I would put any research on Germany on hold until the Dutch side is properly sorted out.
Hoi Steve. Frank heeft op de stamboomforum Duitsland een reactie geplaatst betreffende de doop inschrijvingen in Ochtrup.
Hi Manfred:
Happy New Year 🎊. In this thread, you mentioned Willem Grass's military service. Where can I find the contemporary record? Is there a link to the record you could post?
Thanks.
Steve
