Dear all. I just managed to join the forum. With the help of Mark Polman I have found a family connection in Riga with Bernardo Antonini wed to Catherina de Goyer in 1689 in Amsterdam. A.is from Trento and perhaps earlier from Friuli, Italy. The descendants of Francisco de Antonini, after 1648 in Riga and later in the Swedish Livland share de Goyer DNA via Heijne family near Breda. The de Goyer-Antonini were shipowners and merchants. B. and A. could be brothers at least are cousins living in the de Goyer house in Riga, where was also living Dirk de Goyer and Dirk Antonini. The detailed connection is some open and I do not know much of de Goyer, Theodore de Goyer was the father for Cathrine. Would like to know more of that family also. My wife descends from the Antonini. Thanks to many genealogists in Finland, Sweden and Holland we have reached this far. MA Erkki Lehto, Finland

Getrouwd 1686 buiten Amsterdam.

Theodore de Goyer was the father for Cathrine

Uit de boedelbeschrijving van 09-01-1691 blijkt dat Catharina een dochter was van Jacob de Goijer en Maria Margareta van der Hem van Nedersteijn.

In 1736 there are two deeds which say that the grandparents of Catharina de Goijer (who presumably died shortly before the deeds were drawn up) were Theodoro de Goijer and Sara van Hensbergen. The children of Bernardo Antonini and Catharina de Goijer are: Arnoldo Andrea, Giovanna (she already died, married with Francisco Bernardi), Sara Angela (married with Giovanni Battista Bressan) and Maria. So for the record, just to be clear it seems that  Theodore de Goijer and Sara van Hensbergen were the parents of Jacob de Goijer. Marriage d.d. 23-12-1625 Dirck Pieterss de Goijer X Sara Jans van Hensbergh (variant: Heijnsberch, Sara Jans [van])

As it again appears, Theodorus and Dirk are synonymous

There is a real estate / heritage related deed, Amsterdam, 1733 which also mentions a deed drawn up in Padua, 1733 regarding these families (Antonini, de Goijer, van der Hem van Nederstein, etc. Quite complicated situation imho, but nice handwriting / easy to read

[Edit:] btw: this deed implies that in 1733 Catharina de Goijer (then aged about 77) and Bernardo Antonini (then aged about 82) were still alive, and living in Padua. That does correlate well with Anneke's remarks from 14:54. They consent in selling the real estate that this deed is about; they owned part of it (I think 3/8 part) which they inherited.

Marriage announced for Bernardus Antonini and Catrina de Coyer d.d. 03-01-1686, Amsterdam:

Anneke 12 - 5 nov 2021 - 16:21

Thank you, Anneke. That is about what I could decipher as well. Meaning the marriage could not take place because of some formality (and that's probably why it took place outside of Amsterdam later that same month).

However, do you have any idea what 'd' rato caveerende' means in this context? As far as I know it means 'acting on behalf of' but that still doesn't clarify why the marriage could not take place; 'consent ge Rojeert' meaning something like the supposed consent of the father of Bernardus wasn't good enough, so it was rooyed (is that English?)

Anyway, why would a 35 year-old foreigner from Italy need his fathers consent to get married in Amsterdam? I don't get the point here, apart from the city of Amsterdam maybe saw an opportunity to cash some money by making things complicated? Burocracy...

-Bart- - 5 nov 2021 - 16:40 (laatst bijgewerkt 5 nov 2021 — 16:59 door auteur)

@Bart. It's not clear to me either. It could indeed explain why they got married outside of Amsterdam. Maybe it says that Michiel Fendi was acting in behalf of Bernardo's father and therefore no consent appeared to be necessary (???)

There are two deeds in 1748 about the sale of a bond. It's quite a long story, but it's clear that Sara van Hensbergen was a daughter of Jan van Hensbergen and Elisabeth Peijnappels. They had another daughter Elisabeth, who had a bond, which after her death in 1726 was assigned to Sara de Goijer (widow of Bartholomeus Rose) and Catharina de Goijer (wife of Bernardo Antonini), both children of Jacob de Goijer, who was a son of Dirk de Goijer and Sara van Hensbergen. Indexen (archief.amsterdam)

Thank you for clearing really much of Antonini-Goijer that was really difficult for me. I got somehow the idea that an inventory after Bernardo Antonini was done in 1734 first in Padova and after that the widow, the children and the shareholders received their money some after  in 1736. Bernardo must have died in Padova or near on sea on board of a ship.

The Archief Amsterdam is fantastic but the names are interpreted on ways I cannot really understand, the same happens in Riksarkivet, Stockholm.

. As Theodore is DIrck was new to me and cleared much of my confusion, thank you also, he may be the first Dirck found in Courland, Nussdorff and his son 1652 as burger in Riga, Latvia. Will see.

Many thanks for all!
