Hello everybody,

My father in law (Paul Elfrink) received a card from Joyce in 2009. We are not sure how she fits into the family but there are de Vicq's in our tree. The card was from Mossell Bay in South Africa but the email address is incorrect and we cannot find her.

Hi Elisabeth,

I am just updating this search as you went to so much trouble for me. I contacted the girl in the picture with the dogs and she informed me Joyce died in Sth. Africa about 2 years ago unfortunately. Het relationship to our family shall remain a mystery unfortunately.

This is an exerpt from the book "De Hollandse Familie de Vicq" door Johan D. Bosman:

On Januari 31, 1950 Bernard Nicolaas de Vicq (Bandoeng, Java 10 Aug 1903 - Emmen 28 Nov 1970) marries Johanna Clazina Tietsia Elfrink (Almelo 23 juni 1906 - Zwolle 9 jan 1984) in Ndola, Copperbelt/Zambia, North Rhodesia. It's the second marriage for both. Ms Elfrink was previously married to Arthur Gustaaf Hellendorn (1938 - ?). Joyce was their daughter. (Amsterdan Dec 9, 1947 - Knysna September 23, 2012).
