Hello,
I would like help, please, to understand a baptismal record (2 lines) from Nederduits-Gereformeerde Kerk in Epe, Gelderland, 1694.
Parts of the entry of 1 October I can read, but other words I do not understand and cannot read. I find this to be a very unusual baptism record.
So far I have this: "Den 1 Octob: _________ Gosen Reijnts aan den ____________ een Kindt ___ doopen."
Please, what are the missing words?
And what does this mean? Is something other than a baptism involved?
Thank you.
Gordon
den 1 octobr[is] presenteert Gosen Reijnts aan den Empststerenck een kindt te doopen
Gosen Reijnts living on the Emptsterenk (which is part of the parish of Epe) is presenting a child [not named] to be baptised
Thank you. I understand now.
