I'm searching family surname Malfroy/Malfroid/Malfroit that lived in Denderhoutem East Flanders Belgium from 1780s-1900s. What are the best sources to find information for this area?
I have Franciscus Malfroid/Malfroy/Malfroit (my great-great-great grandfather) was born on November 12, 1797 in Denderhoutem Belgium. He married twice. His first wife was Anne Catherine De Bruyn. and second wife was Maria Francisca Chiau (my great-great-great-grandmother)
I believe his parents were Petrus Amadeus Malfroy and Marie Rosalia Cuenor/Quenor/Quinaux. Marie died on November 27, 1833 in Denderhoutem.
Please let me know if you have sources I can research.
Thanks,
Susan
May be this ( Haatert) can be a source for further investigations.
