Would it be bold of me to assume that this could be relatives in the area of my ancestor Jacob born 1612 somewhere around Zeeuws-Vlaanderen, Zeeland? The name doesn't seem to be coming up that often when reasearching (esp when compared to what we in Germany call "Allerweltsnamen" like Müller, Schmidt, Meier) so it would be likely that they are to some degree related?
In any case the whole area seems very interesting to me.
How likely is it that "my" Bottelberger are related to one of the families (eg the noble) you mentioned above?
Cheers,
Franziska
