Hallo Elisabeth,
I have found little bit of information on the Schreuders family:
They arrived in the port of New York on 2 October 1855 on the ship "Isaac Wright".
In the 1860 census:
Kalamazoo, County of Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
-William Schudder, age 30, broom maker, born in Holland
-Johanna Schudder, age 30, born in Holland
-Bartle Schudder, age 7, born in Holland
-Maria Schudder, age 3, born in Michigan
In the 1870 census:
South Haven, County of Van Buren, Michigan, USA
-William Schroeder, age 43, laborer, born in Holland
-Joana Schroeder, age 42, keeping house, born in Holland
-Bartle Schroeder, age 17, laborer, born in Holland
-Greta Schroeder, age 16, at school, born in Michigan
-Maria Schroeder, age 1, born in Michigan
**and in the same place, living next door to Willem en Johanna:
-John van Trieht, age 40, laborer, born in Holland
-Greta van Trieht, age 74, keeping house, born in Holland
(could this be a brother and mother of Johanna van Trigt???)
In the 1880 census:
South Haven, County of Van Buren, Michigan, USA
-William Schraeder, age 53, farmer, born in Holland
-Joanne E. Schraeder, age 51, keeping house, born in Holland
-Bartel Schraeder, age 28, farmer, born in Holland
-Mary Schraeder, age 11, born in Michigan
Lake View Cemetery, South Haven, County of Van Buren, Michigan, USA
-William Schreuder, 1827-1892 ( name also written as "Schroeder" with dates of 1834-1892)
-Johanna E. Schroeder, 1829-1893
-Bartel Schroeder, 1853-1890
- ? Schroeder, son, no date (no first name)
It seems that Bartel never married. I could not find anything so far on daughter Wilhelmina (maybe renamed Greta here??). Nor could I find anything so far on daughter Maria.
I hope this helps.
mvg,
John
