I do not know how to contact openarch.nl administrators, but when looking for some people, not all the records show. For example: https://www.openarch.nl/gra:f714f329-1b67-39d6-d036-3a56971b9b17 used to be searchable, but now it is not. Try searching for this record and I bet you will not be able to do so on openarch. i know for a fact that in May of 2018, the record was searchable. You can see it by going to FamilySearch's tutorial on OpenArch. https://www.familysearch.org/ask/learningViewer/1318 at 6:30.

Oh I figured out the reason is because the date is not associated with the record anymore. You can compare the page in the video to the record page and see the header is not on the record anymore (which is where the date comes from for the search, I guess). Someone else was talking about this on the form.

Jordi

Hi Jordi,

You are right about the reason why the record is not found that easy anymore: the date of the event has disappeared. I checked the current data record with the Groninger Archives (xml), and this lacks the event date. Which is indeed strange, as the FamilySearch tutorial video is "clear evidence" that the eventdata was present earlier :-)  I'll reach out to the Groninger Archives to ask if they can look into the matter.

Hi Jordi,

Good news: the birthdates (and marriage dates) of records of the Groninger Archives are back again!

The issue was fixed by the supplier of the Groninger Archives (Picturea) very quickly, after which Open Archives could harvest all data again.
