van genoemd echtpaar zoek ik verdere gegevens van de volgende kinderen:

Johann van Dijk, geb. Bergisch Gladbach Duitsland 3.08.1901

Gertrude van Dijk, geb. Bergisch Gladbach Duitsland 4.02.1905

Maria van Dijk, geb. Zutphen 11.04.1910

Het gezin van J.H.L. van Dijk en Maria van Luijnen vestigde zich uiteindelijk in Nijmegen. J.H.L. overleed daar op 7.02.1951. Wellicht dat iemand deze personen daar kent. Van andere kinderen heb ik wel het e.e.a. gevonden.

Hallo Jan, toch even een reaktie, gezien het feit dat nog niemand gereageerd heeft, of

dat de genoemde, dat van de drie kinderen die in Duitsland geboren ??, nog nergens

enig bewijs hier van gevonden. Wat betreft geb. data 1901 is hier en daar, in (D.) wel

bereikbaar, maar 1905 heb ik mijn twijfels. En dat van geb. dat 1910 is hier ook nog niet

bereikbaar. Ook wat betreft het beroep van Joannes Hubertus Ludovicus van Dijk is enigzins twijfelachtig, de ene keer Soldaat-ziekenverpleger en de andere keer aardewerker !! Maar alles

wat ik gevonden, zal je waarschijnlijk al hebben, anders is het voor jou een controle van data enz.

Joannes Hubertus Ludovicus van Dijk,, geb. op 29-04-1873 te Maastricht, was 22 jaren

oud, toen hij huwde op 28-08-1895 te Maastricht met de 20-jarige Maria van Luijnen, geb.

op 08-08-1875 te Maastricht. Maria v. Luijnen overl. op 01-04-1946 te Maastricht.

De ouders van Joannes waren: Paulus Cornelis van Dijk en Maria Heijdel.

De ouders van Maria waren: Hendricus (Henricus) Hermanus Laurens v. Luijnen en

Geertruid Nelissen.

Wat betreft de kinderen die in Nederland geboren zijn (Maastricht) toch even noemen:

Elisabeth van Dijk, geb. op 13-09-1895 te Maastricht en overl. op 20-06-1896 te Maastricht.

Cecilia van Dijk, geb. op 02-03-1897 te Maastricht, huwd op 16-12-1915 te Nijmegen met

Paulus Bicolaus Bloemers. Cecilia overl. op 06-06-1935 te Oss.

Antonius van Dijk, geb. op 12-06-1898 te Maastricht, huwd op 27-10-1922 te Nijmegen met

Neeltje Maria Storm.

En het zoeken op advertentie's in kranten en bij de CBG is een klus, want de familienaam

van Dijk komt ook zeer veel voor. Bij het C.B.G. o.a. 15149 advertentie's (betalend).

de kinderen heb ik uiteraard opgespoord in Bevolkingsregisters. Ter plekke en op internet. Bijv. Zutphen op internet :

Daar vond ik ook nog een, waarschijnlijk jou ook bekend:

Hubert van Dijk, geb. op 09-10-1899 te Bergisch Gladbach, huwde op 30-jarige leeftijd, en wel

op 27-02-1930 te Dordrecht met de 27-jarige Hendrina Marie Wolffers, geb. te 's-Hertogenbosch.

Anna Catharina van Dijk, geb. op 23-03-1903 te Bergisch Gladbach, verder niets gevonden.

Verder doe ik geen specifiek onderzoek naar deze familie met de familienaam: van Dijk, alleen

dit was een vraag van jou en die probeer ik zo goed mogelijk (indien mogelijk) te beantwoorden.

Please forgive my english! 

I too am researching 1950ruda van Dijk and have found the following information: 

Geboren: 1905 February 4

Registered February 6

Venlo, Limburg

Vader: Joannes Hubertus Ludovicus van Dijk

Moeder: Maria Luijnen

Source: RHCL 

She married Klaas Hollander around 1925/6. I cannot find marriage registration as I do not know where they married. Hollander was from Groningen. I wonder how he met Gertruda living at opposite ends of the country! He was a Sargent in the Infantry and was posted in North Sumatra. They lived in Taroetoeng (Taruntung)  in the barracks. Their first child Henderikus Lodivikus was born there in 1926. 

They left Sumatra in 1933 and returned to Groningen where Klaas was a kaffehouder. 

I found both of their names on a list of people the Dutch government suspected of collaborating with the Germans... It is definitely them as the correct birthdays are listed. 

Klass died in the mid 1950s. Gertrude I could not find. 

Hendericus or Hank moved to Canada in 1953. He had about five siblings. One of his sisters moved to Canada first and Hank followed her. 

It seems more likely Gertruda's siblings would be born in Maastracht than in Germany given she was born in Venlo. Am I correct in thinking that? 

How many brothers and sisters did she have? 

If you could find the marriage record I would be most appreciative!

Yes those are the correct birth dates for Klaas and Gertrude. I have not been able to find marriage as I do not know what city they were married in. It's even possible they married in Sumatra. 

I have found all of Klaas' ancestors, all the way back to Klaas Hendriks. 

According to his grandaughter, Klaas did die in Groningen in the 1950's - I will try to get the exact date.

(I thought he had died on Sumatra in 1946 as a prisonnner of war, but his granddaughter says that is not correct. But then, she thought he was a diplomat but he was actually a sargent in the Artillery ) 

Hendricus (Hank or Henry ) Hollander has a sister named Lilly (Lillie?) who came to Canada. He also had a sister Susan and twin brothers, one of whom was named Fery or Ferijk. All came to Canada but one sister. She remained in Groningen.

He married Louise TER BRAAK (she was born in NL but they married in Canada.) She emigrated in 1954.

When I get more information I will let you know.

Gertrudes father moved several times (as being in the army) and indeed Getrude was born just across the border in Germany. The complete family :

Joannes and his family lived in Maastricht, Bergisch Gladbach (Germany) Den Bosch, Zutphen, Nijmegen, Oss and Nijmegen again.

Because her father as well as Klaas Hollander were in the army and since the van Dijk family also resided in Nijmegen I checked for the marriage in Nijmegen.  Furthermore; the training center for the Dutch East Indies Army was also located in Nijmegen 

so I found out that

Klaas and Gertrude married in Nijmegen on 19 Jan 1923 !!

Because of their age I imagine theri was some urge to get married and maybe they had a child born in Nijmegen first.

I really believe that Gertrude van Dijk was born in Venlo indeed and not in Germany. The mistake must have been made by the Zutphen Register. Venlo is also mentioned in her wedding papers.
