Klara Geertruida Verheij and Wouter Romein had an announcement of marriage on dec. 5th 1942 in the newspaper of Den Haag.

Klara Geertruida was a daughter of Cornelis Verheij (1891-1917) and Cornelia Dijkhuizen (1888-..). They married The Hague 13 May 1914. Her father and grandfather (Aalbert Verheij (1866-1917)) died in 1917 before she was born in 1918. Cornelis en Aalbert were fishermen and their trawler was attacted by an German 'U-boot' (submarine). The trawler sunk by fire of deck canon and the crew died.
Grandfather Aalbert married Gerritje Mos (1867-1929) at The Hague 2 January 1890.

They are my parents now deceased, my mother (Klara) died 4 july 1960 and my father (Wouter) died 11 September 1996 both are buried in Karrakata cemetry Western Australia,

My name according to my birth certificate was spelled Romeijn, my father changed this to Romeyn when we immigrated to Australia.

I am very interested to find my aunt if she has deceased, she was born Barbera Romeijn born between 1918 and 1924, born DenHaag region younger sister of Gijsbert and Wouter her parents are Fleuris and Paulina , of course if she is still living I understand I am not allowed to go on with this search.
