Let me introduce myself, my name is Aga from Ngawi, East Java, Indonesia.
My great-grandfather is Johannes Adrianus Dirven (original from the Netherlands) and my great-grandmother is Darsinah Ooms (her father from the Netherlands and her mother from Java, Indonesia). My grandfather is Martin Leonard Jelle Adrianus Sebastiaan Dirven and my grandmother is Sri Rukmini. My mother is Babyana Martina Srining Rahayu Dirven and now living in Ngawi, East Java, Indonesia and still alive.

From the data I have (Ben Wegman helped me a lot), Darsinah Ooms was born in Djatinegara (Jatinegara) Batavia (Jakarta) and married with Johannes Adrianus Dirven in Malang. Johannes Adrianus Dirven died in Batavia (Jakarta) and buried in Nederlands ereveld Menteng Pulo, Jakarta, Indonesia. Darsinah Ooms died in Madiun, East Java, Indonesia and buried with her son and her son's wife in the same place. While her father died in Ngawi and was buried in Kerkhof Ngawi. From her father's tombstone, it only says L. Ooms without any other information or description. Her mother name is Rakinem and buried in Ngawi (different place with L. Ooms).

I have asked my mother but my mother does not have any important documents that inform me about Darsinah Ooms' father's line.

Can I get help to find my family tree from Darsinah Ooms' father's line?

Ik heb sinds 2 dagen ook een prive correspondentie met vraagsteller. Ik heb een militair (Lambertus Ooms) gevonden die zou passen in het plaatje dat  Dhamart schetst.

Hierbij zijn suppletiefolio.  Ik heb ook naar het voll stamboek (27500) gezocht, maar helaas de betreffende pagina's ontbreken. Ik heb geen huwelijk van een Ooms kunnen vinden (rond 1890-1900) en ook geen geboorteregistratie van Darsinah (1897).

Van Darsinah is een paspoortaanvraag bij CBG  

Opvallend: zij gebruikt niet de naam Ooms. Haar huwelijksakte is vermoedelijk op film vastgelegd Malang Kelahiran, perkawinan, perceraian, kematian, – Filmnr. 008571530. IK heb nog geen onderzoek daarnaar gedaan.

Mogelijk is dus Lambertus Ooms haar vader: geboren 12-04-1871 Schijndel. De ouders van Lambertus zijn Christiaan Ooms en Maria Koolen. Bij de kinderen uit het huwelijk van Darsinah vind ik weinig grip m.b.t vernoemingen. Huwelijk Malang 19-11-1921.

Alberta Johanna (1921), Johanna Wilhelmina (1922), Frans Karel Hendrik (1927), Evelientje Agnes Diana (1931) en Hendrikus Cornelis (1939). Er zijn nog meer kinderen uit haar huwelijk geboren maar daarvan is niet vastgesteld dat zij zijn overleden. Van een deel van de kinderen is een paspoortaanvrage bij CBG aanwezig.

Haar echtgenoot Johannes Adrianus Dirven was eerder gehuwd in 1906 met Maria Catherina Defilet. Dit huwelijk werd in 1912 ontbonden. De kinderen uit dit huwelijk (jongen en meisje) werden aan de moeder toegewezen. Er is een stamboek van Johannes Adrianus en er is een file bij oorlogsgravenstichting. Zie evt voor beiden de vorige vraag.

there is no delete option on my laptop, so I just edited my previous post.
Theodorus and Martin (my grandfather) have never been to the Netherlands.

For Darsinah, my mother said she had been to the Netherlands several times when my mother was little.

My mother was born in 1962 and Darsinah died around 1980 (right when my mother was pregnant with her 2nd child).

Darsinah's younger sister, Aminah Ooms, died when I was still in elementary school.

See his suppl. stamboek: 14-09-1895 he leaves by ship (ss Soembing)  Rotterdam to Netherlands Indiën (arrival Batavia 20-10-1895). Unfortunately his voll. stamboek is missing. May be someone else can find it. We have a number.

Is there any data stating that Lambertus married Rakinem? No, at this moment.

Does the photo you sent say December 6, 1907 at Ngawi?
If it says Ngawi, it could be 90% that he is Darsinah's father because Darsinah spent most of her life living in Ngawi and her father also died in Ngawi, and I live in Ngawi

I don't know where he was during his militairy time in Ned Indië. Do you know about more children of Lambertus Ooms?

Walikoekoen (Walikukun) is one of the villages in Ngawi.

My mother told me, she only knew that Darsinah had sisters named Mariah Ooms and Aminah Ooms.
When Rakinem was still alive, my mother stayed at her house several times (Rakinem and Darsinah's houses were still in the same block).
Rakinem lived with Aminah and Mariah moved to Madiun.
Aminah died when I was still in elementary school and was approximately 80-90 years old when she died.
Rakinem never told my mother about her husband (L. Ooms). We (my mother and I) could only see his grave and the last time we visited there was when I was little.

There is an internetsite (Burgerlijke stand Nederlands-Indië – Roosje Roos) where you can search for birth, marriage and death registrations. (in general dates till 1921).  But only European people and native people connected with Europeans were registrated.  The persons you mention in your message are not mentioned. Not official registered.

I have no more ideas to find what I need.

I am afraid that the oral history about the ancestry of Darsinah (being a child of a Dutch father and a native woman) does not match the information in the official marriage certificate of J.A. Dirven and Darsinah.

19 nov. 1921. Johannes Adrianus Dirven, geboren te Ginneken (Noord-Brabant), oud 35 jaar, sergeant eerste klasse, wonende te Malang, voordien binnen zes maanden gewoond hebbende te Ngawi, gescheiden echtgenoot van Maria Catharina Defilet, zoon van de echtelieden Sebastiaan Dirven en Catharina Martens, wonende te Ginneken; en de Inlandse vrouw Darsinah, geboren te Meester Cornelis, oud naar gissing 34 jaar, wonende te Malang, dochter van de Inlander Arsin, overleden, en van de Inlandse vrouw Rakinem, wonende te Walikoekoen, afdeling Ngawi. Getuigen: [ongerelateerd].
