Ik las zojuist een interessant artikel in het Eindhovens Dagblad:

Obama stamt wellicht af van Nederlander

Ja of wellicht van een Vlaming of Fransman. En dan heb je wel een heel groot gebied te pakken. En dan nog betreft het één familie, uit zijn kwartierstaat, van ongeveer 8 generaties geleden met die afkomst.

Ik ben in mijn eigen Kwartierstaat al Duitsers, Schotten en Zuidelijke Nederlanders tegengekomen, waarom zou een willekeurige Amerikaan dan niet uit alle hoeken van Europa voorouders kunnen hebben?
