OBITUARY: WALMA-Louis WALMA, aged 65, of 814 (? or 514) Cordelia St. S.W., passed away early Thursday morning at Blodgett Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his widow, Clara; two sons, Albert and Cornelius WALMA; four daughters, Mrs. Betty DELEEUW, Mrs. Nellie OPPEWALL, Mrs. Grace WILBUR, and Mrs Evelyn BUIKEMA; eleven grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Agnes GRITTER. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral home. Dr. Y.P. DEYOUNG officiating. Interment Wyoming Township cemetery. aged 87, of Grand Rapids,
went to be with her Lord Thursday, December 14, 1978.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert (Betty) DELEEUW
of Fla., Mrs. Ted (Nellie) OPPEWALL of Jenison,
Mrs. Harry (Grace) WILBUR of Lamont,
Mrs. Donald (Evelyn) BUIKEMA of Grandville;
two sons, Rev. Albert WALMA of Morrison, Ill.,
Cornelius WALMA of Rockford;
32 grandchildren,
18 great grandchildren;
two sisters, Mrs. Grace WIERSUM
of Grandville; Mrs. Sam (Gertrude) STERK of Grand Rapids;
five brothers, Edward HOOGEBOOM of Grand Rapids,
Menno HOOGEBOOM of Detroit, John HOOGEBOOM,
Sid HOOGEBOOM both of Wyoming,
and Charles HOOGEBOOM of Grand Rapids.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the funeral chapel. Rev. Christian VANDENHUEVAL officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery.
