JOHN GYLS PINE BEACH - John Gyls, 88, of 615 Avon Road, died yesterday at Paul Kimball Hospital, Lakewood. He was born In the Netherlands, came to this country in 1920, and lived In Lakewood before moving here 21 years ago. Mr. Gyls worked as a builder and cabinet maker before retiring In 1957. He built the round table used In the United Nations In 1945 before the world body had a permanent home In New York, said his daughter, Joslna G. Trlel. He also built the roof of the pagoda boat house in Central Park, New York. Mr. Gyls was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lakewood. His wife, Josina, died in 1965.
