BELZEN Rae Van Belzen, age 90, of Grand Rapids, passed away after a brief illness into the presence of God on Thursday, November 6, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Van Belzen. She is survived by her son, Dick Van Belzen, and his wife, Gail; grandson, Case Van Belzen; sisters, (who all reside in The Netherlands) Johanna Bakker, Anne Vander Tuin and Meta Bakker. Rae emigrated from The Netherlands in 1950, and was proud to be a citizen of the United States. She had a keen interest in politics, other current events, business, and served as the business manager for her husband's landscaping company. Rae was active in church, Bible study groups and enjoyed her friends. She lived the last several years at Breton Woods in Kentwood. Always thoughtful of the needs for others, she is remembered by her friends and family as a kind person, full of vigor, sharp wit and an especially good listener. Visitation hours are set for Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Zaagman Memorial Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Princeton Christian Reformed Church on Monday, November 10th at 11 a.m. with Rev.
