Betreft Genealogy Online (via Otherwise browser) op adres

I am trying to update my publication from 5270 people to 6332 people through "Add a publication". I have tried both a full GEDCOM file (2671 KB) and a zip file (479 KB), and both times less than 6000 names upload. each time I get a message saying both myself and my wife (starting points) are missing. I tested the file on another site and all names upload. Can you help me please?

Hi Bruce, automatically living poeple are excluded from publishing because of privacy laws. Please try option View/edit Public Access to Information in your management menu Manage Publication to publish data of certain living people anyway. Please let us know if you need more help.

Thank you Pauline for your reply. My problem realty starts before logging in.

When I receive the email advising my publication has been updated, it includes the following:

Beware: an inconsistency has been identified in your starting points

In the starting points you have defined, an possible inconsistency was identified. This is often because a person from your publication has been given a different ID, so that the starting point is no longer correct. In this case I advise you to log in and correct the starting points via publication management (remove and add a starting point). It is also possible that the name was changed by, in this case too, I recommend correcting the the starting point so that this warning is no longer displayed.

A change in name has been found with the following persons:

  • Person with ID I1163529699 had name Bruce Stanley Peters but isn't present in the recently uploaded GEDCOM file.
  • Person with ID I1163528295 had name Beverley May Cropper but isn't present in the recently uploaded GEDCOM file.

Both these names are included when I upload to a different site.

Any more help would be appreciated.

Hi Bruce, just upload your newest GEDCOM and renew your starting points. When the id's of both people are in your GEDCOM you probably changed their names a bit, causing the inconsistency warning. Even a tiny change wil lcause the warning. Please remove both starting points and add them again. If you need more help please let us know.

Thanks again Pauline. I deleted my Starting Points before downloading my new GEDCOM file, and this time there were no error messages.

My problem has now been fixed and I really appreciate your help.
